The gameplay focuses on classic brick breaking arcade action while assualting the player with a ever spawning horde of monsters each with its own method to either attack or obstruct the player. These levels are broken up into areas each with its own boss which can be tackled in any order allowing a player to move on and take a break if a level proves to be particularly frustrating though the option of 3 difficulty levels allows the game to be accessable to players both young and old. In addition there are several collectables to obtain throughout the game such as a bestiary, secret levels to discover cutscenes to unlock and a bonus 50 levels once the main game is complete.Pros:Nice visual art style and clear hud with lots of little details in the sprite work.Visually attractive and clear in design for menus and most mechanics are explained adaptly.Unique gameplay, suitable for younger audience. Choice between difficulty settings and level progression meaning failure doesn't result in a restart.60 bonu levelsSteam achievements Cons:Gameplay can be frustrating at times due to typical Breakout game issues.Grows repetitive. It's like the classic brick break action games you all-the-time see on other gaming sites, but this one's got the inclusion of fighting monsters in addition. Plus, the protagonists are very likeable. And yeah, it's hard, but it's worth it if you're looking for a CHALLEEEENGE!!. Really great arkanoid clone. There's only so much you can do with a game like this but this was done very well. I found at first I was losing a lot and thought the game would be too hard, then I stopped for a second and thought about it, reformulated my strategy, and went on a winning spree. The voices themselves are good but the voice acting is laughably bad. Overall a charming game that is mechanically excellent and works flawlessly over steam link with a wireless xbox one controller. 9/10.. Hello, after beating this game (with all achievement) and I read I will review if I like this game. Of course, I will review, because I love this game.This game has a style of Arkanoid but there lot stuff to do, like a catch all " Pokemon ", scout all maps, get all gems, etc... this very long to beat games, now I will talk about Pros and cons:Pros:Story - The story is understandable and is easy to read that what happens about this game is not confused.Art - The pixels and arts are so beautiful is a reminder from Snes 90s but is very nice. Is cute to watch.Characters - Those characters, bosses, and an enemy are pretty cute, voice acting is nice when they talking some a funnies, angry, etc.... sometimes I laugh.Soundtrack and sound - The sound look good and the song pretty awesome, there no hate all list, the guy who did the song from this game call Dominic Ninmark, should check him in Bandcamp, those songs are very good.Control - the control is 100% flow there no problemCons:I dont know is bug or not.Some bosses sometimes they will go very near you, if you kill him by sword or ball, he die but if you try to pass him you get hit and die and the game will start again. The good example that Boss of cat (Nabel) she will jump on you if you made hit her same time, she down and you just happy because you defeat her but if you try to pass her you die and restart again.Can you if you defeat those bosses that characters should be invincible (this happen me 4 time)Is this game worth in your library?Yes this game is Arkanoid, style art Snes 90s, lot stuff and is very good 9/10I hope DYA Games get famous and popular, all your games is awesome.My English is not good but I trying to write lolGo guys PLAY THIS GAME. Harder than I would have expected. I keep confusing the coins with the ball.The coins and the ball look nothing alike.This is not a problem with the game. This is a problem with me.Anyway, yeah, this is actually a really good game for two bucks American. Cute. Hard. Fun.. Made me procrastinate for eight hours when I told myself I wouldn't.Very awesome twist on the age old brick-breaker type games. Hella fun.The hitbox for hitting the ball takes a bit to get used to.The writing isn't the game's strong point, but to be honest you don't play it for the dialog. You just wanna get the collectibles and keep hitting that "restart" button. (As of writing this, I still haven't gotten them all)Boss fights are dope and challenging. Regular enemies always change up the gameplay.The game's easy enough to be fair, but hard enough to keep you challenged.Good sh!t. The game has great pixel graphics and amazing 16 bit-ish music. The presentation is great and that is truly the strong point of the game. With a price of one dollar what could go wrong? Well, you could make the normal stage a slow drag without any kind of fun and the bosses all kinds of cheap so that getting through the game is really just a test of patience. Yes, some of the bosses need some strategy, but no they aren't really interesting and the amounts of hits they take is just mind numbingly boring. The same with the normal stages. All the blocks need three hits to destroy and you are just hoping that the ever spawning enemies drop the 'dark flames' extra to remove some of the more hard to reach blocks.Great presentation meets tedious game play. If you don't mind boring game play, this game is surely nice to look at. Presonally I just couldn't get myself to put more time into the game to even get to the final boss.. It took me 8 hours to finish this game (not 100% it) and I loved every minute of it, the moment I bought it I played it every day until I had finished it. The key word for this game and all DYA games is 'solid', every aspect of this game be it gameplay, music, graphics or whatever is just solid. If you are looking for a great brick breaker game on Steam then this should be at the top of your list.. WOW Good story and good references. This is my new, favorite break-out / Arkanoid clone, no contest. This game has a unique mechanic in which you can strike the ball, and use a charged-up hit that causes the ball to deal extra damage to blocks and enemies.The game can be a bit difficult, as your character can take damage from both losing the ball, as well as taking damage from enemies. However, the challenge is actually quite refreshing; every level you beat feels like it was a worthwhile challenge.As a classic / old school game fan, I have to say this game has top-notch pixel art, very catchy tunes, and overall really fun and solid gameplay.
